Tenuta Castel Venezze, an agriturismo located in Veneto near Venice

Villa Tenuta Castel Venezze is an elegant farmstay situated in the Veneto region, near Venice, on the border of the historic Polesine area. The heart of the property is the main villa and its striking original portico, both of which were meticulously restored in 2003 after fifteen years of careful work. These restorations unveiled the splendor of a 16th-century noble residence, itself built upon the ruins of a medieval castle destroyed during the conflicts between Ferrara and Venice.

Tenuta Castel Venezze opened its doors in 1998 as one of the very first agriturismos in the province of Rovigo. For many years, it was lovingly run by our mother, Maria Giustiniani. Since she passed away in September 2014, the five of us—her children—have taken over, doing our best to carry on her vision and keep the special charm and character she poured her heart into

About the Estate

The park surrounding the property is crossed by an ancient stone road that, since the Middle Ages, has connected Padua to Ferrara.

The estate was built and expanded over the centuries, first by the people of Ferrara and later by the Venetians. Today, it is home to the Del Bono Venezze family’s farm and hosts the agriturismo Tenuta Castel Venezze, named in homage to the ancient Roman castrum that once stood on this land until the 2nd century AD.

Although no visible traces of the original castle remain, the charm of the place still evokes the atmosphere of its long and fascinating history.

From June to mid-September, guests can enjoy a lightly salted swimming pool—perfect for cooling off on warm days, immersed in nature and total relaxation.
